Hello! I am the 6th grade Language
Arts and Social Studies teacher. For those of you who don’t know me,
let me introduce myself. I am the proud mother of four beautiful
intelligent girls; Sarah, 16; Savannah 13; Mallory 10; and Maddy 7.
I have been married to my husband, Bruce for 19 wonderful and
glorious years. Our family is a transplant to Flagstaff. We moved
here from Indianapolis, Indiana in March of 2005. I grew up most of
my life in the mid-west, Ohio, Indiana, and Minnesota. So, being in
this mountain town is a new adventure for our family. My degree is
in Integrated Curriculums from DePaul University, Chicago, Illinois.
I was the music teacher for Mountain School 2006-2008. I taught HS
English at Northland Preparatory Academy for the 2008-2009 school
year, and I am pleased to return to Mountain School this year. I am
also currently a trainer for the San Francisco Symphony’s Keeping
Score Program. |

| I believe
that learning is a joint effort between
student and teacher. We all have knowledge
that needs to be shared and grown. In my
classroom, I intend to create an environment
where both student and teacher can learn. I
believe in infusing music and the arts
throughout the curriculum. Studies have
shown that music ignites the entire brain
and I believe that music is a great tool to
ensure comprehension. |

I am excited to get to know your
child and to help prepare them for their next big adventure - Middle
School! Please feel free to
